Charlotte Mason Blog Carnival :: June 2015 :: CMBC

Hello June!
Many homeschoolers are looking out at that vast expanse of summer wonder ahead - a break from school and maybe even exciting vacation plans! Understandably, homeschool bloggers are very likely to be planning on less school-related blogging as well. Or, at least I hope you might be! :) Perhaps those upcoming relaxed summer days might allow for some of that much coveted time for reflection and planning! When you do blog this summer, will you please consider sharing with us? Even if it’s just a picture peek…

I only received a few of posts ahead of time and am happy to be able to feature all of them in this edition!

Over at Living Books Library, Liz writes a thoughtful post about truth in fiction titled, Charlotte Mason On the Reading of Novels (check out more neat thoughts in the comments as well!).  She starts out...
"Emily and I bristle when, on a fairly frequent basis, a child in our library informs us that "fiction is fake," or "I want to read a true book," though we know that these ideas are not their own, but have been adopted from adults in their lives."

Nancy shares a few thoughts on prayer and the very refreshing time she shared at a CM gathering in Arkansas. It looks like they had an absolutely LOVELY time!

You’ll be able to empathize with My Peace and her effort to put nature study principles into action...
"I determine to open my eyes, open my ears…even amidst the chaos and complaints (and the dog finding something stinky to roll in). And you know what? It was beautiful. It was soul-reviving! “

Thank you for joining us in May at the CM Blog Carnival! Please continue to share throughout the month. *See the note below for how you might be able to help the CMBC!

Help the CMBC:
Encourage-A-Blogger: If you come across a helpful article or blog post inspiring to Charlotte Mason educators, please encourage the author to share it with us! We welcome the help! I haven't had much time lately for popping around and browsing blogs to encourage participation like I used to!

Link Yourself: Please feel free to link up your own posts throughout the entire month with the linky below. When a topic is posted, you are welcome to link to older posts on that topic. Also, if you would like your recent blog posts to be considered as a feature in the next carnival, you may also submit them by e-mail anytime between now and the end of the month (mail to: charlottemasonblogs(at)gmail(dot)com).

Love notes: If you read a blog post that is particularly inspiring, please let the blogger know! It is encouraging to interact over what we're thinking and doing and most bloggers would LOVE it if you left them some bloggy love in the comments. :)

The CMBC hosts a linky that will remain active throughout the month (add more all month long!). The carnival will be announced via e-mailfacebook page, twitter handleg+ page  - (please feel free to share the current carnival link wherever as often as you'd like!)

All posts submitted to the CMBC by e-mail before the deadline will be linked via the linky AND one or two will be chosen to be featured every edition, selections will be made at the hostess/editor's discretion.
