Wednesday: Geography

"Mom, this book makes me love Turkey!  I just LOVE it!  I mean I'm sure there are probably some bad things about it that the book doesn't say, but..."
{voice trails off as the reading takes him in...}

This is what we are using for Geography in y5 because, well... we love Ann.  and it's excellent.  and of course all the kids can participate... so we are taking a voyage full of imagery and new and exciting discoveries in the middle east.

Everybody finds a cushion to take a ride on the magic flying carpet through Turkey.  After the lesson, each little starting with the youngest records his/her finds on the 'tape recorder' and then charts the discoveries on their very own hand loved map.  Here are some of our recordings:

The pics look great, it shows they are learning great, and thanks for the review, good to know you like that for geography, because if you use AO and you use this it means it fits CM (to me :-)

We're using it next year as well! I hadn't picked it up yet and am very thankful you posted the glowing reviews.

What do you use for your photo layouts - is it scrap-booking software? Let me know, I really like it!

My kids loved the sketches from this post about Turkey. They asked me again when we'd get to go to see more of Turkey next, but I don't know. It was such a miracle to get them there the first time. I miss it. I pray for those who don't have the hope of Jesus I know there. Thanks for teaching your kids about a people who needs Jesus.
